Nationally Recognized Home Inspection Expert

Bill Loden is the owner of Insight Home Inspection, LLC, founded in 1995. Over the years he has worked extensively at both the state and national level to raise the standards for professional home inspectors. Bill currently works with the Alabama Building Commission to review complaints against home inspectors.

At the national level, Bill has been heavily involved with the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) since 2003. He has served in various capacities, including Ethics Committee Chair, Board of Directors (Secretary in 2011 and National Vice President in 2012).

In 2002, and again in 2008, Bill was selected by the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors (EBPHI) as one of approximately a dozen expert home inspectors nationwide to define the practice of home inspection in the National Role Delineation Study. This study defines the National Home Inspector Examination (NHIE), the licensing exam for the State of Alabama and 24 other states. Bill continues to work for the EBPHI as a subject matter expert and is currently involved in writing test questions for the NHIE.

Prior to starting his inspection business, Bill was a project manager for a large commercial contractor and also spent 15 years at Marshall Space Flight Center as an expert in Risk Management, Quality, Reliability and Safety. A career highlight occurred in 1992 when he received a Silver Snoopy Award from the NASA Astronaut Corporation for specific actions he took that improved flight safety on the Space Shuttle Program.
